Getting Your Steps In

On-Site with Alliance Safety

On an active day, construction workers will take an average of 1,624 steps every hour! That means that after a typical day, you will have taken almost 13,000 steps around your job site. Without the proper footwear, each step you take could result in injury. Even well-maintained construction sites will have slippery conditions, puncture hazards, and uneven ground.

Work boots are one of the few pieces of PPE you will buy for yourself that won’t have safety oversight. (Although your company should still ensure that you bought proper footwear.) Take the time to select the right work boot that will protect your feet while you work.

  • Do you need safety toes for falling objects or objects rolling over your feet?

  • Do you need to buy a larger size up because your feet are different sizes?

  • Do you need a defined heel to help from slipping off a ladder?

  • A little bit of foresight can save you from potential injuries on site.
